Learn how to create a 3D printed mock-up with the guidance of a digital smile design using affordable software.
This is the third course by Dr. Paul Zhivago (a Board Certified Prosthodontist and Clinical Associate Professor at NYU) that will show you how to turn your 2D digital smile design into a 3D-printable mock-up without the need for expensive dental CAD software. Dr. Paul starts the lecture by creating a smile design using Smilecloud, a browser-based smile design software that provides you with STL files of the teeth you choose. The teeth STL’s are then imported into ZBrush, a dental non-specific CAD software, where they’re merged with the patient’s scan. The design is then finalized using the 2D smile design as a guide.

Dr. Paul Zhivago
Dr. Paul Zhivago received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from New York University College of Dentistry where he also completed his education as a Prosthodontist. He lectures nationally and internationally on the topic of Digital Dentistry. Currently, he is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Prosthodontics at NYU College of Dentistry and teaches the digital dentistry course for the Post Graduate Prosthodontic Department.
