The Medit i700 Wireless Calibration Tool is a critical accessory designed to ensure the accuracy and precision of your Medit i700 Intraoral Scanner. Periodic calibration is necessary to maintain the quality of the 3D data output, especially when changes in environmental conditions such as temperature occur.
The calibration tool is straightforward to use, with the Medit Calibration Wizard guiding you through the process. Once the scanner is connected, you begin the calibration process by inserting the scanner into the calibration tool and adjusting the dial to the specified positions. The system then acquires data from each position to calibrate the scanner accurately. The calibration process also includes a pre-heating stage to ensure that the scanner’s temperature during calibration is similar to the temperature during scanning, thereby increasing data accuracy.
Please note that the calibration tool is a delicate component and should be handled with care. It’s important not to touch the inside parts directly, and if you suspect the tool is contaminated, please contact your service provider.
Calibration is completed when the program displays a “PASS” result, indicating that your Medit i700 Intraoral Scanner is ready to deliver highly precise and accurate 3D dental scans.
